Living in the present
‘twas ignorant happy bliss,
No thought what lies ahead,
Absolutely here, Perfectly now,
Was it a momentary lease?!
Dark Typhoon comes in strength
And like a black hole,
‘tis grip pulls with fervent force,
The taste of darkness, its stench
All that there is,
The heart is like roaring War Drums
Bristling with rage,
Anger like loud thunderclaps,
Hate like scorching lightning
Poisoning the spirit;
Was Peace a lie?
War Drums an unrelenting alarm:
Sleeper awake!
Banish, banish this poisonous hate!
Embrace, embrace Fate!
A life of meaning is a sentence, is Fate,
One is condemned to wallow in the past,
One must obsess about the future,
There is no escape from Fate!
No sentence is commuted, is there?
Every Truth learned says:
With Reverence, with Gratitude,
Without Fear, Without Anger,
That is how one goes forth to War,
That is how one goes forth to Life;
