oh hell no. I love batman, he is a cool guy and all. But no. Emma, Black Cat, and Scarlet Witch are not too dependent on men, and I don’t think any of them are Bruce’s type anyways.

Bruce Wayne is attracted to the bad. Talia Al Ghul. Selena Kyle. Jezebel Jet.

The Batman likes independent women. Wonder Woman, Zatanna, Sasha Bordeaux (The Black Queen of Checkmate).

Emma Frost, Black Cat and Scarlet Witch could easily fit the mold.

Dick Grayson’s almost the same but he likes Redheads: Barbara Gordon, Starfire. Then again, didn’t he used to date the Tarantula? Maybe Dick will go for Mary Jane Watson.

Peter Tomasi penned this issue of Blackest Night: Batman issue 2. Can I just say, my favorite, line is “Talia Al Ghul— Mummy of the year”? Blackest Night is all about the dead rising, powered by black rings. They’re like dead green lanterns who eat hearts to power up. And Batman? He’s got a LOT of dead villains. But this isn’t Bruce Wayne Batman. No, this is Batman Dick Grayson and his protege, Daiman Wayne, son of Bruce Wayne and Talia Al Ghul.

This is cool clean fun. Expect lots of violence and horror. RISE!

I’d love to rave about Batman 690. but nothing. nada. I’m sorry, the storytelling just isn’t telling us anything we don’t already know. We get it, Dick is still uncomfortable being Batman. He was during Prodigal. He was during Battle of the Cowl. Whereas in Batman and Robin he’s teaching a new Robin, his life becomes interesting, Dick has accepted he is Batman.

In Batman, we get Dick experimenting with the new suit and Alfred playing Oracle. Its like “meh”. Nothing to see here.
